26, (6)pp. Miniature prospectus for The Times Illustrated History and Encyclopedia of the War. The first three pages of the text contain the marketing pitch for the 21-volume set, which we learn was available in three different binding states and could be purchased in monthly installments. This is followed by a comprehensive summary timeline of World War One from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand to Armistice Day. The volume closes with a calendar for 1919 and 1920, and several blank pages for memoranda. Rare: only one institutional holding noted in OCLC (University of Virginia). A fine copy in gilt-stamped red roan. (3 1/4 x 2 inches; 83x52mm).
