Oblong 16mo. (12)pp. Six three-dimensional plates adopt a "sculptural printing effect" to show the advancements of the modern automobile with a technological prowess equal to the Packard's superiority. Much of the advertising copy is directed toward women, calling on a "Mrs. Smith" to consider the advantages of a Packard - its lubricating system and shock absorption among them - and to relay that information to "Mr. Smith and Junior." Clearly the book plays with the idea of style, so that the Smiths can keep up with the Joneses. Prices for the Packard Standard Eight 6-26 and 6-33 at rear. Bound in illustrated wrappers with gilt highlights. Trace rubbing to edges, else fine.
