Octavo. (16)pp. A suitably sculptural treatment of Basho's four seasonal, highly structural haiku. The seventeenth-century poet's verses have been translated into English by Lucien Stryk. Illustrated with four photographs by Richard Zauft and four kanji drawn by master calligrapher Chihiro. The titular enso symbol is drawn by Zauft at the first page. Bound in a double paper wrapper and attached to a wooden rod, so that the book hangs suspended in the mahogany slipcase. Fine. With a copy of the prospectus.
