Sheppard's chromolithographs are cleverly printed to reveal the culmination of each melody; by turning over an abbreviated strip at the page's inner edge, the scene transforms to show Little Jack Horner with his thumb in his pie, the three blind mice without their tails, and Little Betty Blue recovering her lost shoe. Bound in pictorial wrappers. Sheets still bound in but shaken and rather slack, moderate overall soiling, spine split from both ends, else good and rather scarce.
