Octavo. 335pp. Wood engravings by Nason capture Thoreau's Transcendentalist love of the Massachusetts woods. Designed by Carl Rollins. One copy in unopened, unbound sheets and held in blue cloth-covered slipcase. The two bound copies in variant designs: one in illustrated boards backed in pale cloth with green spine titling, the other in full tan cloth with green gilt-stamped label. Both bound copies with all edges speckled green. Stray sites of wear, else all examples near fine.
