Wood engraving on paper measuring 13 3/4 by 11 1/2 inches, matted, glazed and framed. A characteristically atmospheric piece in which Kent depicts a figure reading in a log cabin, a glow from an unseen light source emanating from the left. Outside the window behind the figure, long icicles hang from the eaves, providing counterpoint to the mountains in the distance. Although not examined out of frame, the image area shows little to none of the toning typically encountered on this print. Fine.
