Two versions of Kent's wood engraving, one with too much black, suggesting that the cuts initially not deep or defined enough. The engraving was eventually used in 1936 on a Christmas card published by the American Artists Group. Both tipped-in on same sheet and covered with protective tissue, on which is written the instruction to "reproduce this one" (i.e., the right-hand image). From the collection of Dan Burne-Jones.
