Octavo. 30pp. An example of the Roycrofters' American transposition of William Morris's Arts & Crafts style, with an ornamental title page and initials throughout. The inscription from Rogers to Kennedy is an impressive association, demonstrating Rogers's affection for Hubbard and the Roycrofters' more decorative style despite its heavy contrast with his own more restrained artistic temperament. Kennedy was an art historian of quattrocento sculpture then working at Smith College. Bound in quarter brown cloth with gray paper over boards and paper label to upper cover. Rubs to corners and edges of spine, else very good.
