This portfolio contains seventeen illustrated octavo cards, including the title page. Among the personages pictured are a woman in evening dress, a sinister looking man with a mustache in a dark coat and hat, and the Doubtful Guest, from the story of the same name. Near fine, unbound, as issued, in green printed wrappers with outer corners lightly bumped. Housed in the original yellow-green illustrated envelope, which is somewhat toned and tatty.
