16mo. Each title in the assemblage separately paginated and separately limited. Each one had been otherwise separately editioned by the Press, but none here has been appropriately numbered and it thus stands to reason that this miscellany was compiled out of leftover copies. In either case, the miscellany would have been a very limited production, perhaps intended only for circulation among the friends of Press proprietor, Reverend Charles Bubb. Bubb's ecclesiastical avocation determined much of his taste, as represented here by the prominence of carols and Classical lyrics. Titles are: "Quem Vidistis Pastores?," "A Little Garland for Candlemas Day," "An Old Christmas Carol," "Two Christmas Songs," "The Boar's Head Carols," "Six Old French Carols," "Two Eclogues," "The Poetical Versions of the XXXIst Ode of Anacreon," "Six Poems by William Morris," and "Selections from the Forget-Me-Not." Around the year of publication Bubb also began to branch out into Imagism, printing works by H.D., Richard Aldington, and John Cournos. Adding to the uniqueness of the volume is its binding by The Booklovers Shop of Cleveland, an incarnation of the Club Bindery, albeit one that only lasted three years. In full green morocco over boards with spine in six compartments with gilt tooling, pointille, and title stamping all panels, including edges and dentelles. Original wrappers bound in at rear. Light foxing to edges of text block, child's handwriting to colophon of "The Boar's Head," else near fine. Bookplate to front pastedown. (Ransom, 228-233; Cave, 199-200)
