Folio. 63pp, loose as issued. A monumental retrospective of Zadkine and his work, produced a year before his death in 1967 and comprised of tipped-in photographs of him and his sculptures. Zadkine's sculpture began as a Beaux-Arts enterprise, but during his residence in early 20th-century Paris quickly evolved into a three-dimensional Cubism with strong ties to Greek and African aesthetics. His home, which is depicted here, is now a museum. Housed in red silk-covered chemise with slipcase. Spine of chemise sunned, some rubbing to both this and slipcase. Other than slight foxing to outermost sheets, near fine.
