Game kit with pictorial, hand-colored game board, small box with twelve letter pieces, one sheet with instructions and another with the solution to the brain-teaser. The letter pieces spell out "France" (red) and "Russie" (yellow). The instructional sheet call the game an analogy for the alliance between France and Russia established contemporaneously - hence the dating. The game begins by randomly placing the letters on the board's spaces, and then rearranging them into their intended order by taking advantage of the open thirteenth space. All materials fine and the whole kit complete. Housed in green box with pictorial lid. Both box and lid professionally repaired. Very good. An intriguing diplomatic souvenir.
