Octavo. 55pp. Hand-colored illustrations and collages throughout visually emphasize Santana's poetic attentions - printed in both Spanish and English - to loneliness (of the artist himself and as a general modern condition), the allure of objects, and the passions of sexuality. The binding literalizes this sense of the poem as portrait: designed to mimic a table-top picture frame, with stand at rear board and front cover offering a frame in which the title is set on bright red paper printed in black. Stray rubs, slight split to hinge of frame stand, else very good.
