Their collaboration on the subject bears notice, Yeats being an Irishman and Johnson an Englishman, but for them the publication is as much literary criticism as it is a marking of cultural heritage and a transcendence of contemporary politics. This is the first book bearing the Cuala Press imprint, marking the Yeats sisters' independence from Evelyn Gleeson, with whom Lily and Elizabeth Yeats established the Dun Emer Press seven years prior. Publisher's linen-backed printed blue boards show some faint toning to extremities, and along spine; lower corners a trifle rubbed. Overall nearly fine. Ink ownership inscription of Gilbert A.
