Octavo. 224pp. Photographs and occasional cartoons throughout illustrate the arc of the Marx Brothers' films, from 1929's The Cocoanuts to 1949's Love Happy. Each film receives a filmographic entry, a synopsis, and a brief commentary on what the Brothers were satirizing; Horse Feathers, for example, is a send-up of the "rah-rah college" atmosphere of the '30s. The fifth brother, Gummo, features briefly, apt for his brief feature as a Brother. Groucho would pass away in 1977 and Zeppo in 1979, and their signatures here would be some of their last. Bound in pink pictorial wrappers moderately rubbed and with spine sunned, else very good. A title very difficult to find signed, given its late publication.
