Folio. (40)ff. Carol's story of a boy who lives on the Magdalen Islands, where seal-hunting is the traditional occupation, and a harp seal mother and pup, is introduced by the founder of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Robinson's haunting images of seals and their very appealing pups are shown in eleven full-page plates, etched and printed in color, and four wood engravings. Each plate is protected by captioned blue paper. A fine copy in the deluxe binding of full limp vellum, with a gilt-edged window framing a wood engraving. Housed, together with the extra suite of plates, each signed by the artist and laid into a blue raw silk portfolio, in a matching silk dropback box. Prospectus included, but lacks original drawing.
