Two 24mo vols. Both (ii), 13, (4)pp. Two full-page wood engravings by Eric Gill, who with condescending hand points out the vanity of the modern woman. Also with three engravings by Desmond Chute: peacock devices on cover and title page, and his hound-and-torch at the colophon. First volume has title-page peacock printed in black; variant has it printed in red. Volumes identically bound in gray wrappers with black titling to upper cover. First volume shows some staining around exterior edges with residual damage to pastedowns, text block otherwise unaffected. Variant has faint foxing and muted stains to rear cover. A very good set.
