Quarto. 36pp., + 46 inserts bound-in. Compiled for the 50th anniversary of the Bird & Bull Press, Morris has gathered here textual commentary with examples of ephemera from the entirety of his printing career, including from books that would otherwise not have been encountered by his subscribers. Due to the quantities of material available, he was only able to make 100 "bound collections," which were offered almost exclusively to private standing order customers, and no two books are alike. From the 100, Morris had five bound in full green leather with the addition of a rare origami-style prospectus for Five on Paper Morris kept one of the five for himself, and the other four he offered to a few old customers. This is copy number 1, inscribed to long-time subscriber and book collector Dr. Adam Moore. A unique retrospective look at a long career through the printer's eyes. Letter from Morris laid in, with prospectus and original sales receipt. Fine, in raw silk drop-back box. Bookplate laid in.
