Illustrated with twenty original woodcuts, printed from the block, with full margins, by the author. A sequence of loose adaptations of fables from Aesop and others, updated (often wickedly) for contemporary relevance, each accompanied by a corresponding wood engraving. As this was not a formal publication of the Gehenna Press, it is not included in the bibliography. Unbound sheets, as issued, housed in a marbled paper chemise and enclosed in a red morocco-backed dropback box with leather title label on upper cover.
