Folio. (18)pp. The book's flag structure is here part and parcel of its larger material collage and is executed entirely without adhesives. Eight offset-lithograph/screenprints and 9 other screenprints by Johnson emerge in angular coordination from the bustling, highly mobile format, resulting in a biblio-cinematic city symphony. To these are added Barbara Luck's poetry, which conjures up the sonic and visual noise of modern urban life. These have been printed dry in black on yellow, red, and gray Fabriano Miliani Ingres and Torinoko papers directly collaged onto the screenprints. Bound in gold card covers with dropback spine, these with black pochoir embellishment. Fine. Housed in Rowlux blue moire slipcase.
