Four 16mo vols. 25, (1); 24, (2); 24, (2); 24, (2)ff. A seasonal set, with issues for spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each one illustrated by Guthrie with engravings printed in largely in black ink but with parerga in a variety of colors. Included, too, are Guthrie's poems and his brief treatises describing his artistic vision. The result is a tidily printed and gorgeously illustrated exhibition of Guthrie's contributions to British small press. All bound in blue-gray paper over boards backed in buckram, with covers decorated in green, red, or blue. Minimal edge rubbing, else near fine with original tissues still present. Laid in is the prospectus for the Pear Tree Press edition of Poe.
