Octavo. xciii pp. Printed at the Ballantyne Press, under the supervision of Charles Ricketts. Illustrated with wood engravings by Ricketts, including a full-page engraved title page with an allegorical representation of Spring, surrounded by ornate borders. The figure of Spring is also depicted on the facing page, inside the large opening initial letter O. Two other historiated initials and various wood-engraved decorations are found throughout. Bound in publisher's blue boards with paper title labels on upper cover and spine. Inch-long split along lower front hinge, spine evenly toned; adhesive offsetting to endleaves. Very good or better. With bookplate of noted fine press collectors Henry John and Minnie Caroline Bell; small leather booklabel of Mabel L. Rossbach.
