Octavo. 219pp. Set in that futuristic year of 1985, Ertz's novel imagines a world with only one woman left alive. A somewhat feminist, somewhat Lysistrata narrative, with "plots and counterplots of international significance," of which this cataloguer has no doubt. Illustrations throughout imagine the notable situations, including "The only woman acclaimed" and "The pattern for all female beauty," in Art Deco style. Bound in full red cloth with titling in black and white. Mild rubs to corners, one gathering opening a tad ragged, else very good in a scarce dust wrapper, somewhat soiled and chipped but still quite dazzling.
