Quarto. (22)pp. Illustrated throughout with colorful "paintings" by Sarg. Scattered throughout are numerous interactive elements, whether pop-ups, movables, flaps, or removable objects. Sarg's abridgements to the text include parenthetical instructions to the reader in each instance. A clever novelty approach to three classic children's stories. Bound in hinged shadowboxes with likewise movable elements: Long John Silver's ship battles a storm, and Rip Van Winkle drinks from a jug. Stray rubs to corners of shadowboxes, all interior movables intact and present, else near fine. In publisher's box, this rubbed overall and with tape repair to bottom portion's corners.
