Folio. (48)pp. Described as selected writings celebrating the relationship between men and women to the earth, Moore's own physical writing - her letterforms, flourishes, and strokes - themselves plumb that relationship, bringing the natural materials of bookmaking to bear upon the reader. Texts by Rosetta Clark, Ronald King, Ernst and Johanna Lahner, and Eleanor Perenyi appear on smaller folded sheets hidden between richly colored and designed sheets, and the experience of their opening and discovery feels much like entering and exiting a series of gardens. Literal threads tie together the work, with yellow thread crosses tying together some leaves to others. Bound in heavy painted wrappers and housed in dropback box. Fine.
