(32)pp. This the rarest of St. Onge titles, given his disposal of most of the edition. Published to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Jefferson's birth. Bound in black cloth boards, with remnants of gilt stamping. Bradbury recounts a conversation he had with Wallace Wetherbee, binder of the book in which Wetherbee explained, "I remember that the cover stamping was done on a gas-flamed, hand-operated stamping machine. We had a heck of a time getting it hot enough for the gold to stick to the cloth cover." As a result, the stamping is dull or appears to be tarnished in all but a few of the remaining copies. A fine example of a scarce St. Onge title. (Massmann 4; Welsh 3993; Weber, The St. Onge Miniatures, Microbibliophile XI, Jan 1988; Bradbury, p. 252). (3 3/16 by 2 1/8; 80x53mm).
