Two wood engravings, each measuring 3 1/4 by 2 inches, hinged into a double mat. One is marked in pencil as a "trial proof" which has some inking differences from the editioned print. This set was formerly owned by Kent collector, Dan Burne Jones, whose entry for this print in his Catalogue RaisonnĂ© references the proof in his collection. On a tissue guard, Burne Jones has written "Reproduce this one," indicating the editioned print. He has also noted the entry numbers in pencil on the mat front, and taped a strip of paper across the right margin with a ink reminder to "Note new ancillary drwg. photo."  Few stray marks to mat, wrinkling to tissue guard, else fine. (Burne Jones 19).
