Folio. (32)pp. With a stunning calligraphed title-page, chapter headings, initial letters, and twenty-one wood-engraved illustrations by Blair Hughes-Stanton, who joined the Gregynog Press in 1930 upon the retirement of R. A. Maynard and H. W. Bray. He was to become one of the most significant calligraphers and illustrators to the Press. According to Dorothy Harrop, "The illustrations, the setting of the text and the large wood engraved initials and running heads all conspire to render this one of the most spectacular books to come from this or any other press." Printed in Baskerville italic in blue and black on heavy Japanese vellum. Touch of rubbing to corners, else fine. Lacking the board slipcase. A very fine copy of one of the most elusive titles of the Press. (Harrop p.122; #29).
