Graphite and Pen-and-ink on paper; etching on scraper board. Two iterations of a fish swimming through reedy, whirling waters, both rendered by hand: the first is a drawing, the other etched directly out of the black ink. The designs were completed for the Folio Society edition of Poems by Rupert Brooke. No evident wear, hence a fine example of Buckland Wright's postwar process. Matted and framed. Not inspected outside frame, which measures 13 by 16 3/4 in.
