Octavo, landscape-oriented. Six spreads open to show dynamic pop-up and movable scenes from Disney's adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. Mowgli rides Baloo downriver as monkey's toss coconuts, Bagheera flits in and out of the trees as Mowgli confronts the tiger, Shere Khan, who sprints away, and eventually the young hero joins humanity, following a girl to a local village. Produced at Artia in Prague, which facilitated a number of Disney pop-ups for European export markets. Bound in pictorial boards, lightly bumped at corners. All pop-ups functional and only occasionally creased, wolf head at first spread detached but present (insert missing), elephant lacking from second spread. A very good copy.
