This carefully produced French facsimile of Meggendorfer's original work replicates in detail a panoramic view of circus scenes, in which all performances - clowns, acrobats, horse-riders, and balancing acts - happen simultaneously, dropping down to create the effect of a busy affair under the big tent. Reproduced, too, are the stereotypes of non-white figures. Bound in pictorial boards slightly rubbed, else near fine.
