Octavo. viii, (ii), 370pp. This with a manuscript copy of Stevenson's letter to Sidney Colvin, his friend and literary advisor, originally written at Manasquan in May 1888 (a previous owner has noted at the rear pastedown that this is letter B3108). Much of Stevenson's missive is given over to pleas and plaints, but his postscript asks after Colvin's possible article on George Meredith, to be done for Scribner's. Bound in full red cloth over boards. Spine toned, mild rubbing and soiling to covers, else very good. A.e.g. Bookplate of former owner to front pastedown. (Beinecke 526)
