In an elaborate binding of full pigskin elaborately tooled in gilt with a mosaic formed from red and green foil. At the center of each cover is a central panel featuring a watercolor depicting a woman and man on the upper; and two women on the lower cover respectively, engaged in outdoor recreation. These paintings were sealed under fragile mica sheets, which are only partly present here. These are executed in a distinct Orientalist style. Flat spine with gilt scroll tooling and red painted decorations. Beautiful Dutch gilt paper pastedowns.
