Poster printed as part of the Woman's Building's The Poster Project, which was spearheaded by Cheri Gaulke. Designed in both style and dimension to suit public transit, like subways, streetcars, and buses, the work quotes Carson in both English and Spanish, fitting for a Los Angeles audience at the time afflicted by a smog-bound city atmosphere. Carson is herself shown holding a green and blue Earth. The result is an impressively intersectional exemplar of feminist publishing, environmental activism, and the potency of public art. Date derived from previous owner's pencil markings at verso. Fine. (11 by 28 in.)
