Folio. (13)pp + 6 sheets loose, held in pocket at rear. Landers imagines the designs for the rings which Shakespeare had authorized to be crafted with the money he left in his will. Landers acknowledges that there are no records of the rings having been actually made, but here suggests a range of styles that epitomize the Bard. The concrete designs are depicted at the loose sheets; the volume itself stages the historical context, showing the rings in a locket and carried above Avon. Bound in paper wrappers with hand-painted and embossed paper labels applied to upper cover. Backed in red paper fastened with rivets. Mild bumps to corners, else near fine.
