24mo. 32pp. A dramatization of Mother Goose nursery rhymes, probably more accessible and enjoyable to adults than children. There are occasional moments which strike the reader as proto-modernist, as in the spelling of an abominable-bumble-bee-with-his-tail-cut-off, which goes on for nearly half a page with a rather Joycean garble. Diaz was a women's rights activist, New Thought adherent, and educator. Bound in stiff tan wrappers with illustration at upper cover. Mild edgewear, occasional soiling, else very good and scarce, with only three institutional holdings.
