Octavo. 44, (3)pp. In addition to compiling the anecdotes of the Ashendene Press, Ritchie printed the text in blue and black and the woodcut illustrations in black, red, and green. A warm compendium providing a personal and operational history of the Press. Ritchie acknowledges the help of Will Carter, Sydney Cockerell, Blair Hughes-Stanton, Beatrice Warde, and Stanley Morison, among many others. Immensely useful and nearly as immensely scarce. Bound in marbled paper wrappers with paper label to upper cover. Slight rubbing along edges, else near fine. Housed in clamshell box.
