The coins on either side of the leaf included here bear the profiles of two wives of Julius Caesar, Pompeia and Calpurnia (his wife when he was assassinated). Accompanying the leaf is an English translation of an essay by Renaissance scholar Roberto Weiss on Fulvio and the time in which he lived. Printed at the Bird & Bull Press. Fine in raw silk with a leather spine label. Bookplate to front pastedown.
