Octavo. 75pp. Godine recalls that the "real justification for the book was the inclusion of five woodcuts by Fritz Kredel, among the very last he designed and cut." Kredel's illustrations adopt a medieval aesthetic to suit the verses translated by Brian Stock. Latin originals have been printed facing Stock's English versions. Bound in quarter orange morocco with pale marbled paper over boards (the other deluxes were in backed in green with wallpaper-style covers). Two pages unopened. Near fine.
