Small quarto. 15pp. Illustrated with thirteen wood engravings by Jones, all of them typographically and thematically harmonious. Though black-and-white, the engravings seem to take on an intensity of color and tone to suit the tumultuous seafaring experience of Jonah. Bound in plain buckram with gilt titling to spine. Mild overall toning, more obvious at spine, occasional motes of soiling to covers, "919" in ink at top of title page. Front panel of dust wrapper laid in to rear; this featuring Jones's "The Resurrection of Christ," which also appears as at title motif. VG+, with a desirable association.
