Fifteen sheets with multiple diagrams in pencil, ranging in size from 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 to 11 by 7 1/4 inches; eight sheets of pencil tracings on tracing paper, one of which is clipped to a woodcut proof; and one diagram rendered in blue ink. Two larger sheets are initialed and annotated by Gill, with the dates "26 Jan 1917." Several sheets contain evidence of reuse, including one with a rough sketch for a headstone engraving; others bear lists of subjects for diagrams, likely related to this project. While not a complete archive of the working drawings for this title, it presents a rare glimpse into Gill's process as a draughtsman. Enclosed in paper wrappers with Gill's pencil annotation: "A.R.
