Small quarto. (36)pp. With a handsome metal engraving of Tasso by Hammer, printed in reddish-brown on the title-page. Hammer's Opus X, and one of only two books printed during Hammer's stay in Vienna, which was cut short by the Nazi annexation of Austria. Holbrook notes that because of Hammer's ideological inclinations, he lost his teaching post at the Akademie der bildenden Künste. Typical light marginal foxing, else very fine in boards with dust wrapper which shows slight toning along spine. (Holbrook pp. 145-146).
