4 octavo vols., each split into two parts (A-K and L-Z). 605; 583; 480; 539pp. A landmark sale, at which a number of the high spots of Western printing were dispersed. All with price lists and original entry forms. Uniformly bound in pale yellow cloth over boards with black leather spine label. Original wrappers bound in. First volume has news clipping about the sale, which includes biographical information on Hoe and highlights from his collection. Modest exterior soiling, spines mildly toned, occasional rubs, very good - i.e., the custom binding has done its work, and the original catalogues themselves remain quite fine. All edges speckled.
