Small quarto. 24pp. Printed in black, brown, and orange is this decidedly modern sampling of type and ornament for the explicit purpose of advertising, certainly a signal of the near-inevitable power of commercial enterprise to assimilate the stylings of the avant-garde. Telling, for example, is the final page's presentation of Cubist Colorets. The Gothics in question evince "a unique design with lower case letters which do not descend below the line affording a face larger than regular for the body. More dazzlingly put, "There's nothing anemic about Advertisers Gothic type faces. They wake 'em and warm 'em up." Bound in gray printed wrappers. Tipped-in is a price sheet. Some overall soiling and rubs along edges, else very good and quite scarce, with only four copies in libraries. Former owner's tallying to interior of front cover.
