Two-color poster, at the center of which is a stylized image of a pregnant woman behind a "no" symbol atop her. The provocative symbology is explicated by the text beneath, which reads "Love Carefully." Printed a year before Roe v. Wade, the Scotford's design is especially provocative, explicitly conveying a message for safe sex and prophylaxis, but implicitly supporting abortion as a legitimate and viable option. Scotford was the college designer at Dartmouth, and spent the earlier half of his career in advertising and book jacket design. Stray marginal creasing, pale foxing to verso, else near fine.
