Small quarto. iii, 62ff + equivalent number of braille sheets interleaved. Neel both compiled the documents - among which are the inscription on the Statue of Liberty, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, The Star Spangled Banner, and America the Beautiful - and executed the raised illustration at the first leaf, which showed the Statue in all her monumental glory. An impressive, weighty undertaking in accessibility and a holistic view of citizenship. Comb binding with printed wrappers. Moderate exterior rubbing and soiling, include two residual strips of cellotape. Very good.
