Octavo. 36pp. Illustrated with many examples of guild medals in color and black & white, showing both sides. The book is accompanied by four silver medals as specimens. The original seventeenth-century Dutch medals were made of gold and were issued as tokens of membership in the guilds. Henry Morris had molds made from the four in his possession; only two others are known to exist in the U.S.A. The four replica medals are held in thick cardboard inside printed wrappers and housed in the slipcase with the book. Extremely fine in brown cloth and matching slipcase.
