His statement is one of hope for peace, while at the same time expressing his dissatisfaction with the political gamesmanship that defined the Cold War; implicit in the text is his communist leanings. With image of a tree above and of clasped hands below. Inscribed at foot by Sally and Rockwell. With original stamped envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of North Dakota. Card crisp and fine, envelope with cellotape residue.
