Folio. 16 folders, the first with 4ff publication information and commentary, the others with individual prints. A collaborate homage to the Zea Mays enterprise and its director, Liz Chalfin, who founded the center as a developmental nexus for non-toxic printmaking. The titular reference to Lucretius's De Rerum Natura is thus appropriate, calling to mind the necessary relationship between the natural sciences and environmental stewardship. The contributed prints are colorful, both literally and topically, taking the broad remits of "nature" and "things" to their significant extents, but all keeping in focus mutual symmetries between an interior life and an external way of living. The artists are Meredith Broberg, Tanja Butler, Liz Chalfin herself, Brian D. Cohen, Martha J. Ebner, Anita Hunt, Louise Kohrman, Theresa Monaco, Bobette McCarthy, Lynn Petefreund, Amaryllis Siniossoglou, Alison Williams, Carrie St. John Wilson, Diane Kazar worth, and Mark Zunino. Composition by Michael and Winifred Bixler, typography and letterpress by Michael Russem at the Kat Ran Press. All sheets and folders fine. Housed in dropback box.
