Illustrations of sea creatures are blind-embossed throughout, and provide textural and visual contrast to Legge's colorful silkscreens. The harmonious integration of two illustration techniques nicely echoes the folktale's explanation of the relationship between the sun and moon as they emerge from the ocean.
